She was an active child and grew to love dancing and subsequently featured as a dancer for many music videos and choreographed stadium events. Music was her first love but she was a bit too shy to be centre stage and it took her accidental meeting of Dj Cleo for him to spot her knack for dancing and singing that he approached her for a feature. She first appeared in the music scene in 2017 when she was featured on the dj Cleo’s song EYETHU. She broke out as a solo artist in 2017 when she released her hit single “Thuso phala”. Her stage name is a quirky combination of her initial and surname which she attributes to Dj Cleo. Unlike the popular twalatsa, kwasa, tobetsa, tsipa and dab, the new THUSO PHALA dance craze, which has been dominating dance floors, was not introduced to aficionados with a name. But now it will most likely be recorded in the entertainment history books as the Thuso Phala dance, thanks to DJ Cleo. He named the dance craze after Phala because the footie loves to dance, and Thuso was more than happy to be part of the song and all marketing initiatives. The song was so well received that Distruction boys offered to do a remix for her which is currently blazing the charts and dance floors. Bizizi is a well grounded and mannered young lady who listened to her parents’ advice to study first and dance later and she did exactly that by acquiring a PR diploma before turning her focus to music. She draws inspiration from her mentor Dj Cleo and all the other females artists that are making waves in the difficult and male dominated industry, and aspires surpass all her their achievements and eventually also help other female budding musicians.
